Lightning fan attacks Panthers mascot after joke goes sideways (VIDEO)

Lightning fans were embarrassed enough on Monday night, as they lost 7-1 to their Florida state rival Panthers.
Until the Panthers mascot ''Victor E. Rat'' tried to rub some salt into the wounds of some visiting Tampa fans. However, the fan was having none of it and took his anger out on the mascot.
Fan reports say that the incident happened because the mascot threw the fan's jersey into the crowd which resulted in some sort of retaliation from the fan.
The Panthers have since announced that they will be launching an investigation into the matter as well.
