Longtime hockey player tragically passed away at the age of 45-years-old

A tragic announcement ended up confirming that a longtime, 45-year-old hockey player has tragically passed away.

It was just announced that Mindaugas Kieras, a Lithuania-born hockey legend has left us far too soon.
Kieras never ended up playing a game in the NHL, but he holds the record for most games played for Lithuania's mens national team.
He ended up appearing in 100 games for the national team from 1999-2017, where he scored 15 goals and 47 points.
We regret to inform you of the passing of Lithuanian ice hockey legend, Mindaugas Kieras, at the age of 45.

Kieras spent this past season with Hockey-Punks-2 (Lithuania) 🇱🇹, registering three goals, seven points through seven games played.

The defenseman holds the record for most games played with Lithuania's mens national team 🇱🇹 - 100 games from 1999-2017, scoring 15 goals, 47 points in that span.

Kieras played professionally in Lithuania 🇱🇹, Belarus 🇧🇾, Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, and Latvia 🇱🇻 over the course of his career.

At the time of his passing, he was also an assistant coach with Hockey Punks (OHL) 🇱🇹, and an assistant coach with Lithuania's men's national team 🇱🇹
