It appears as though another professional is leaving North America for a different league!
According to Artur Khairullin of
Sport-Express.ru, 13-year NHL veteran Tyler Ennis is set to leave North America and sign with Salavat Yulaev Ufa of the KHL.
The terms of the contract have not been revealed as of Thursday afternoon.
Ennis, 32, became a UFA, and while his point production has slowed down a bit at the NHL level in recent years, it's still a little shocking that no one has signed him to a PTO.
The Edmonton native was selected in the first round (26th overall) by the Buffalo Sabres at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He appeared in 700 career games, split between eight seasons with the Sabres, Minnesota Wild, Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators (twice), and Edmonton Oilers.
Ennis, 33, has recorded 144 goals and 202 assists for a total of 346 points in his career, including 12 points in 24 postseason games.
