Stick swinging, skate kicks, sucker punches, refs getting wrestled down... this vintage brawl has it all!
The Bruins and Hawks are two of the NHL's Original Six franchises, which means they have quite a lengthy history of bad blood between them.
Through different generations and decades worth of history, both Boston and Chicago's players and fan bases have learned to hate each other.
This wild sequence is from a game between the storied franchises that went down back in 1970. It features many of the Bruins' legendary star players - including a certain Bobby Orr who can be seen throwing wild punches while he and his opponent are down on the ice.
Tonight, the Bruins and Hawks will get to revive their rivalry once more.
With both teams set to face-off against one another in just five days from now as well, the time seems right for the B's to set the tone.
