The Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings started game one of their first-round series last night. The Kings were able to edge out the Oilers by a close score of 4-3.
When it seemed like the game was headed for overtime, Edmonton's goaltender made a terrible play with just over five minutes to play in the game.
Although Smith made a miraculous save right after his giveaway, he led directly to the 4-3 leading goal that was also the eventual game-winner. Mike Smith has now lost his last 10 playoff starts and has a save percentage of .892.
No matter what,
Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers just can't seem to find a way to win a playoff game. Especially when their goaltenders make plays like that.
