Now this is what playoff hockey is all about!
The Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes are playing Game 1 of their opening round series on Monday night and the fast-paced, high intensity action is already getting fans out of their seats!
Despite not even being one period into the series,
Charlie McAvoy is already sending out a clear message to his opponents: he's not here to mess around.
The Bruins defenseman delivered a massive check to Hurricanes captain
Jordan Staal in the opening frame:
It's not the first time the Bruins defenseman has injured Staal with a massive hit. If fans remember, the bruising blueliner also laid out one of the regular season's heaviest hits on Staal just a few months ago.
To say that McAvoy has gotten the party started with his latest bodycheck would be an understatement. It's definitely on now!
