November 26th, 1975, turned out to be one of the days that most Boston Bruins fans would probably like to forget.
Forty-seven years ago today, the legendary Bobby Orr played his 631st and final game with the Bruins, as he required knee surgery that would hold him out the rest of the season. The following summer, Orr signed with the Chicago Blackhawks and would only appear in 26 more NHL games.
Orr finished his tenure in Boston with 264 goals and 624 assists for a total of 888 points. Along with the Calder Trophy, an Art Ross, eight Norris, three Harts, two Conn Smythe and two Stanley Cup Championships.
