In the midst of an extremely rare three game losing streak, the Boston Bruins made several depth moves Monday to shake things up.
One of which, was the first call up of season for forward
Vinni Lettieri from Providence. The 27 year old is enjoying a good year in the AHL, with 16 goals and 21 assists in 41 games.
Unfortunately, it looks like his first taste of NHL action this season will have to wait. According to Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic, Lettieri was injured in his first practice.
And after the morning skate, Shinzawa confirmed the worst on Lettieri:
''Vinni Lettieri is on crutches. Will not travel to Toronto.''
Terrible turn of events for Lettieri, who was most likely set to appear in his first NHL game since April of 2022. It's hard not to feel for they guy, as he deserved this call up all season long.
