It's no secret, David Pastrnak is the most gifted sniper on the Bruins roster.
Still just 25 years old, Pastrnak has already set the mark for most hat tricks by a Bruins player at age 25 or younger. Yesterday was the forward's 12th three-goal game of his career, which leads all active players in that category.
The only two other active skaters that have scored 10 or more hat tricks before turning 26 are
Connor McDavid (10) and
Alexander Ovechkin (10). Placing Pastrnak's name above those two is quite the honor.
The Czech-born is also quickly climbing the Bruins history books as well. His latest three-goal outing tied Bruins legend Johnny Bucyk for third all-time for most hat tricks in franchise history.
Pasta's natural ability to find the back of the net gives him a legitimate chance at catching Cam Neely on the all-time list, but he's still very far from beating Phil Esposito's franchise mark.
Here are the Bruins players with the most hat tricks in franchise history:
Phil Esposito - 26
Cam Neely - 14
David Pastrnak - 12
Johnny Bucyk - 12
