Miroshnichenko is from Ussuriysk, Siberia, which is located near the Chinese/Russian border. He moved to Moscow to play youth hockey with Buran Voronezh and played his U16, U17, and U18 with Vityaz Podolsk.
His scouting report according to junior hockey analyst with Sportsnet, Sam Cossentino:

Fortunately, it was a common type that is treatable and has been receiving treatment in Germany, his determination to get back to hockey has paid off. Miroshnichenko has completed treatments for Hodgkin's lymphoma and is cleared to return to practice. The goal is to resume playing next season, per NHL Central Scouting director Dan Marr.
Miroshnichenko has spent time recently in the MHL, and VHL and tallied 10 goals and 16 points in the VHL and 4 goals and 9 points in 5 games with Russia U18 at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
