The Boston Bruins first blow was that top forward Brad Marchand would be out for at least six months after undergoing successful surgery on both of his hips.
The club also announced yesterday that three more players all went under the knife and will be missing significant time.
Charlie McAvoy had shoulder surgery and is also expected to miss six months.
Mike Reilly underwent surgery on his ankle and is expected back in three months.
Matt Grzelcyk also had shoulder surgery and will miss the next five months.
The crew at NHL Network broke down the Bruins injuries and when they may have happened. As the noted in the video, Boston won't be back to full health until November or December.
This makes Don Sweeney's offseason even tougher, and he's going to have to work some magic to keep this team from losing their entire season in the first few months.
