The Boston Bruins rookie development camp is set to be held from Monday, July 11th through Friday, July 15th at Warrior Ice Arena.
Matt Porter of 'The Boston Globe' has reported that arguably the Bruins' top-two prospects won't be at the development camp.
As per @mattyports on Twitter:
Mason Lohrei, 21, is Boston's top defence prospect but unfortunately underwent successful knee surgery and will miss the camp. Lohrei was the Bruins' second-round (58th overall) pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
Porter also reported that Boston's top-prospect
Fabian Lysell also won't be in attendance at the camp:
Lysell was the Bruins' first-round (21st overall) selection at the 2021 draft and spent the past season with the Vancouver Giants of the WHL.
This is probably the best-case scenario for Lysell, however, as playing in World Juniors will have much more value for his development because of the high stakes and high intensity at the international tournament against a lot of elite talent.
