Recently retired from the NHL, Keith Yandle has joined Sportsnet as an analyst for the start of the 2022-23 season.
And during the intermission of the New Jersey Devils and Edmonton Oilers game on Monday night, the former defenseman made an extremely bold prediction about the red-hot Devils. The panel was asked, ''Are the Devils the real deal?'' To which Yandle replied:
''No, I don't even think they're going to make the playoffs.''
The Devils are currently on a 13-game winning streak and sit second overall in the NHL, with a 16-3-0 record, trailing only the Boston Bruins in the standings. However, Yandle thinks they'll trail off sooner or later.
