Fans are transitioning from best on best hockey, back to watching regular NHL games, and although it isn't the same, last night saw an action-packed game between the Ducks and Red Wings that was highlighted by a controversial hit from Ducks forward Trevor Zegras.
Detroit Red Wings forward Michael Rasmussen was skating through the neutral zone, and dumped the puck into the Ducks zone, when he was blinded sided by a hit from Trevor Zegras directly to the head.
This hit would cause Rasmussen to miss the rest of the game.
The Ducks were trailing the Red Wings 4-2 with a few minutes remaining in the second period, and Zegras was trying to get some momentum for his team, but landed a dirty hit.
This hit has sparked some controversy as there was no call on the play.
