The Boston Bruins and Winnipeg Jets combined for a trade that would send Jim Vesey to the Boston Bruins and the Winnipeg Jets would acquire future considerations.

After being acquired by the Bruins he would end up playing 4 games for the team in 1991-92, and then spend the rest of his career in the minors.

During the 1992-93 season Vesey went on to score 38 goals 39 assists for 77 points in 71 games with the Providence Bruins including the first goal of franchise history.
