The Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens are considered to be one the NHL's greatest rivalries.
Every time the Original Six franchises face off against eachother, it seems like sparks fly and bad blood from previous encounters quickly begins to boil over.
Fans will never get tired of watching the Atlantic Division rivals battling it out, especially since it brings such entertainement and some hard-hitting battles.
During last night's game however, it was Montreal defenseman
Jeff Petry who got things started when he went out of his way to catch Patrice Bergeron with a perfectly-timed hip check.
Bergy's teammates aren't used to seeing the captain getting caught off guard like that, so they immediately went after Petry to stick up for him .
As always,
Brad Marchand was the first one in line to retaliate when he saw his best bud go down.
While Petry isn't known to be a dirty or tough player by any means, he had to expect some kind of consequence after going for such a beloved and respected guy as Bergeron.
