A Major Announcement Was Just Made Regarding Former Boston Bruins Fan Favourite Trent Frederic

Don Sweeney and the Boston Bruins ended up making some big moves during the NHL trade deadline, one of them being Trent Frederic going to the Edmonton Oilers.

Whenever the Bruins traded Frederic to the Oilers he was already injured, which kind of hurt the return that the Boston Bruins got for him, but they didn't want to lose him for free in free agency.

Frederic was the "big move" the Oilers made during the NHL trade deadline as they didn't really make many other moves.

After waiting awhile, Frederic finally made his debut with the Edmonton Oilers, but during his debut he re-injured himself just six minutes into his first game.

He has not since played another game since then, but leading up to their first game tonight, a major announcement was made regarding Frederic.

The Edmonton Oilers ended up beating the L.A. Kings last year in the playoffs, but a lot of people think that L.A. has it this year.

This is the 4th meeting between the two teams in the last 4 years of playoff hockey, and there is no doubt that these two teams do not like each other.

Having someone like Frederic in the lineup would be ideal for the Oilers, and head coach Kris Knoblauch stated that he is going to be a game time decision tonight for game one.

This is definitely going to be a good series to keep an eye on.
