A Major Announcement Was Made Regarding Boston Bruins Defenseman Charlie McAvoy And It's Not Good

McAvoy, 27 years old, has been out all weekend. Head coach Joe Sacco said that they will review the injury after the game tomorrow and go from there.

McAvoy is one of the best defensemen in the league and will be representing Team USA in the Four Nations faceoff as well.

McAvoy has five goals and 15 assists, adding up to 20 points in 45 games and a +2. McAvoy has never been too impressive on the points side but is one of the best defensive defenseman you could ask for, which sucks because that leaves a hole in Boston's defensive end.

Hopefully, after they reevaluate his injury, he can come back to play, as he's on the injured reserve list right now, and the Bruins need him because they're fighting for a Wild Card spot, which in the Eastern Conference is already as hard as it gets with it being so close.

The first Wild Card spot. Plus, the Bruins are sixth in the Atlantic, and third in the Atlantic (Tampa Bay Lightning) to Boston at sixth is just three points. They can't afford McAvoy being out.

The Bruins need McAvoy back as soon as he's ready to go because when he's not there, teams will score, like the Ottawa Senators did when they won 5-4 in overtime. That just shows you how valuable Charlie is to have.
