The Boston Bruins have a very unique opportunity to acquire one of the fastest players in the National Hockey League, as well as a former 30+ goal scorer, in Jordan Kyrou of the St. Louis Blues following his recent healthy scratching.
An odd tie to the Boston Bruins organization could very well favor Don Sweeney and the Boston Bruins.
Just the other night, former Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery healthy scratched St. Louis' best player, Jordan Kyrou.
Many were questioning as to why that decision was made, as several other faces could've been in his shoes.
Montgomery took the media stand and revealed it really could've been a lot of guys, but after all, it was Kyrou.
"Everybody has a role and responsibility on our team. When you don't live up to your standard, you risk the chance of coming out of the lineup," Blues head coach Jim Montgomery said Saturday morning of scratching Kyrou.
"It could have been a lot of guys, it's just the way I ended up making my decision. This morning (Kyrou) showed up, he's in a good frame of mind, and I'm giving him the opportunity to respond."

Kyrou then responded by tallying one goal after his healthy scratching, as he watched his team break their losing streak.
Jordan Kyrou would make the perfect Bruin
At a cap-friendly $8.125M deal, the Bruins and their current young core would be an ideal fit for the 27-year-old forward.
"If Jordan Kyrou is on the market, he fits the #NHLBruins needs to a tee

In year 3 of an 8 year deal
Kyrou is a legitimate top 6 offensive threat that could slide right into your second line and address the weakest link of your team"
