The team has lost the last seven of their eight games including giving up 4 goals against the Tampa Bay Lightning and losing against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The latter part of that sentence could be considered blasphemy, as the Bruins have a great record against their original six rivals.
The Bruins and Maple Leafs have met 781 times, and the Bruins lead the series 355-314-99-13 (BOS) but we unable to shut the door on Craig Berube's new look Leafs.
Could this spell doom for Sacco who has just started the Head Coaching gig in Boston?
Could GM Don Sweeney and Cam Neely be that cold-blooded?
It's an interesting thought to ponder, as the team seems to have lost the momentum they built early under Sacco.
This season he's been behind the bench for 24 games, with a 12-10-2 record which is an .542 close, but not good enough for a team who should be in playoff contention.
There's been no word that Sacco is on the hot seat, and there's been little to no precedent set for an NHL team to fire two head coaches in a season.
Although, if you recall the 1995-1996 season the Senators flew through Coaches, as they replaced Rick Bowness, with Davie Allison and would keep Jacques Martin ( hired in 1996) until 2002.
Sacco could make history for all the wrong reasons if the Bruins aren't satisfied with his record by the end of the season.
