A major turn of events surfaced in the Boston Bruins trading away two top-six players

There has been a lot of speculation regarding what the Boston Bruins are going to do with two top-six players, and now a turn of events has surfaced.
Pavel Zacha has been a top trade candidate for the Boston Bruins since back at the 2025 NHL trade deadline.
The rumors have followed him into the off-season after he had a down year offensively for the Boston Bruins, with multiple teams being linked to him.
Similar to Zacha, Casey Mittelstadt has recently been a hot topic in the rumor mill as well recently, with him being linked to multiple teams as well.
Now, the Bruins are being advised to hold onto them until at least the trade deadline.
Bruins waiting to trade Zacha and Mittelstadt?
According to Andrew Fantucchio of Boston Hockey Now, he believes that the Boston Bruins should hold onto both Zacha and Mittelstadt for now.
He stated that if the Bruins trade both of them now, they are basically folding their season before it even began.
The Bruins would essentially be waiving the white flag before the season even began if they were to trade away Zacha and Mittelstadt now.
Last year was a struggle not only for the Boston Bruins, but for fans as well, and if the Bruins were to trade both of them before the season began, it would give them more of a reason to tune out before the season even bagen.
He does believe that if the Boston Bruins are not in a playoff picture before the NHL trade deadline, then they should look to move both of them.
But say that the Bruins are once again outside the playoff picture once the NHL trade deadline rolls around in early March. That would be the ideal time to send Zacha and Mittelstadt out the door.
A main reason is because players values are always much higher towards the NHL trade deadline.
Prices always skyrocket near the deadline. GMs will give up just about everything and anything to give their team an extra edge heading into the playoffs.
