A New Major Development Has Surfaced In The Boston Bruins Trading Captain Brad Marchand

With the 4 Nations Face-Off concluding this week, the Boston Bruins will have to figure out their path with Brad Marchand, will he be traded?
As the Boston Bruins have only seven games left before the March 7th trade deadline they will have to consider their paths for not only the team but with Captain Brad Marchand.
Marchand has been wearing the spoked-B since 2009 and was a part of the team that won a Stanley Cup in 2011.
The team and Marchand are in a precarious place, as they've yet to finalize a new contract.
While their chances to win a wild cards spot in the Eastern Conference continue to slip from the claws.
A major move must happen, or GM Don Sweeney could be accused of being asleep at the wheel.
Will that mean moving Brad Marchand?
If they're to retool they should move the pieces that will yield the best return for the team.
That includes not only Marchand but other free agents as well.
The media trade chatter persisted last week, as RG.Org's James Murphy reported the Bruins were getting calls about Marchand from rival clubs. He cited one source saying they appear to be listening rather than shopping their captain, while another said they're not peddling him.
With the NHL rumor mill active 24/7/365, it's often too difficult to discern the truth and find who are the bad actors in the midst of all the trade talk.
Regardless, we should be able to see through the fork in the road which remains persistent regarding Marchand's future with the Bruins.
While we hope it won't come down to a trade of the captain, the truth of the matter is the Bruins need to stay in the playoff hunt if they're to remain one of the best in the league.
Marchand could be the first of many Bruins victims at the trade deadline, we should all know his fate with the team soon enough.
It'll be tough to see him go, should Don Sweeney find a retool necessary.
The old guard will finally be gone, but never forgotten.
