A recent announcement revealed the Boston Bruins organization and one of their goaltenders, Joonas Korpisalo, have been enduring on-going tension, and it is not a good look for the team.
An NHL insider revealed some unexpected news this morning, Tuesday, April 15, on social media via 'X', announcing that the Boston Bruins' net-minder, Joonas Korpisalo, expressed his frustrations about the organization.

The 30-year old net-minder participated in just 27 games this 2024/25 NHL season, and although that number may sound low comparatively to last season, as he endured 55 games with the Ottawa Senators in the 2023/24 season, he is unfortunately a back-up.
A Boston fan replied to the insider's posts defending the Bruins organization:
«Korpisalo is a backup, he got 27 games which is typical of what backups get in this league to a big name starter. Swayman had a bad year and you can argue maybe they could have given Joonas 5-7 more games but that's it. After playing 55 games for Ottawa it had to be tough.»
Although Korpisalo's frustration may have been unexpected, the net-minder did have a great season this year, within his 27 games, he ranked a 2.90 GAA (Goals Against Average), and a .893 SV% (Save Percentage).
Meanwhile, Jeremy Swayman, the Boston Bruins' starting goaltender, has played in a total of 57 games, ranking at a 3.08 GAA, and a .894 SV%.
Despite Swayman enduring 30 games more than Korpisalo, his stats are looking arguably low, and it has been noted in the Boston Bruins' current standings as well.
