Following their game against the New York Islanders last night, an announcement was made regarding the Bruins practice today.
Boston showed resilience last night against the Islanders, as they never once had the lead but managed to force extra time and came away with two points.
The Bruins trailed the Islanders the whole game but ended up scoring a late goal in the third period to tie the game up and force extra time after head coach Marco Sturm made some
line changes.
Looking to extend their winning streak to four games, the Bruins did exactly that. After no one scored a goal in overtime, the Bruins ended up winning the game in the shootout on a goal from
Marat Khusnutdinov.
Following the game, the Bruins flew back to Boston, and an announcement was made regarding their practice.
Bruins are holding an optional practice
After winning their fourth straight game, the Bruins announced that they would not be holding a mandatory practice.
Instead, the Bruins are holding an optional practice while allowing players to pick and choose whether or not they would rather rest or get some extra reps in.
The Bruins will hold an optional practice at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Back at it. Optional practice today.
It's unclear which players actually ended up showing up to the practice, but I'd assume
Mason Lohrei was one of them after being
scratched for the past four games.
Do you think holding an optional practice is a good idea for the Bruins?
