This season, Jeremy Swayman has been really good for the Bruins, and it was unexpected.

After having the worst year of his career last year, it was unclear how Jeremy Swayman was going to respond for the Bruins.
Swayman appeared in 58 games for the Boston Bruins last season, where he really struggled.
The Bruins star netminder had a 22-29-7 record with a 3.11 goals against average and a .892 save percentage.
Because of this, it led to the Bruins thinking about trading him during the off-season, and he was involved in a bunch of trade rumors.
It was reported that the Edmonton Oilers and Boston Bruins were working on a trade at some point, centering around Swayman.
At the end of the day, the Bruins decided to keep Swayman as they believed that he was going to have a bounce-back year, and that's been the case so far for him.

Swayman has been impressive

To begin the season, Swayman has been one of the best players for the Boston Bruins and is a big reason that they currently sit in first place in the Atlantic Division and 7th overall in the league.
Boston has a 12-8-0 record, and Swayman currently has an 8-4-0 record.
Both goaltenders have played big parts for the Bruins, but Swayman has been really good considering last year.
Since giving up seven goals to the Ottawa Senators, Swayman has won five straight games where he has a .923 save percentage.
Swayman has posted .923 sv pct. in his five consecutive wins.
If Swayman can continue to play like this for the Bruins, there is a good chance that they make it back to the Stanley Cup Playoffs after missing last year.
