A major development has surfaced in the Toronto Maple Leafs already trading off former Boston Bruins defenseman, Brandon Carlo, and it's shocking.
Brandon Carlo, who was trading from the Boston Bruins to the Toronto Maple Leafs in March during the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline, has spent less than a year with the Leafs.
However, that has not stopped him from circulating the rumor mill.
As this blue-liner has already been linked to making his way out of Toronto, and a new statement has revealed some insight regarding this former Bruin.
Update surfaces regarding trade rumors involving Boston Bruins' former defenseman, Brandon Carlo
On November 16, a new statement by NHL insider, David Pagnotta, was announced on social media, via "X", regarding Brandon Carlo's recent trade rumors.
Pagnotta revealed as to why Carlo's name has been surfacing, stating that the Toronto Maple Leafs need more cap space if they intend to make an impactful move.

"David Pagnotta: Re Leafs: They need more [cap space] if they're gonna an impact type of move, which is why Domi and Carlo's names are out there; they're gonna have to get a little bit creative"
That being said, it is currently uncertain as to where Carlo would land if the Maple Leafs decided to move on from this blue liner.
Yet, it seems as though his longevity in Toronto may be much shorter than majority of the hockey world anticipated.
