Bad news strikes ex-Boston Bruins Brad Marchand and the Florida Panthers ahead of game three

Boston Bruins' former Brad Marchand and his new organization, the Florida Panthers, may have just lost their captain, Aleksander Barkov, midway through the first-round of their playoff series.
On Thursday night, April 24, the Florida Panthers took on the Tampa Bay Lightning for Game 3 of the series, which would ultimately lead to Brad Marchand's teammate and captain enduring an injury in the third period that could potentially leave the player out for the rest of the season.

Aleksander Barkov took a high hit, in what appeared to be shoulder to chin impact, from the Tampa Bay Lightning's Brandon Hagel, due to the hit being high, this has left fans believing the captain may be potentially suffering a concussion, or a some sort of head injury.
Florida Panthers captain Sasha Barkov was knocked out of Thursday's game due to a high and late hit from Brandon Hagel - but it's the Lightning who are hurting down 0-2 heading to Sunrise.
Following the incident, Tampa's Brandon Hagel was called on a 5-minute major for interference, and was later suspended.
However, Barkov never made his return to the ice following the hit, which sparked concern for many fans and reporters.
To add to the concern, the Florida Panthers' coach, Paul Maurice, never offered an update on Barkov's status, however, he eventually revealed he would have more information today to share wth the media.
