Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens combine for a trade: A 1-for-1 deal is on the table
Over the course of their time in the NHL, the Boston Bruins have played with a specific brand of hockey.
Whether it's for better, or worse, they have a reputation around the league of being physical, given the nickname "Big Bad Bruins".
Last year, the
Boston Bruins kind of lost that narrative, but now a trade proposal has been made that would help them bring it back.
1-for-1 trade between the Bruins and Canadiens
Heav.com has proposed a 1-for-1 trade between the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens.
In this trade, it would see the Boston Bruins getting rid of their logjam in net, and would bring some feisty ness to their lineup with gritty defenseman
Arber Xhekaj coming back:
Joonas Korpisalo would give the Montreal Canadiens a solid backup option, while also clearing some room for the Boston Bruins as they currently have three goalies signed to one-way deals.
The Bruins would get a solid, gritty, 6-foot-4 left-handed defenseman. Xhekaj has played in 165 career NHL games, last season he recorded six points, 118 penalty minutes, 180 hits, and 63 blocks while averaging 14:37 of ice time.
Although it wouldn't be a 'blockbuster trade', this move would help improve both teams in areas they need help.
