Leading up to their game tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Boston Bruins announced a two-player roster transaction.
Recently, the Bruins have not had luck on their side with injuries, as two forwards have gone down with injuries.
Last week, the Bruins ended up losing Elias Lindholm. At this moment, the Bruins are listing him as week-to-week.
Along with that, the Bruins just got hit with some more terrible injury news in their most recent game against the Ottawa Senators.
Johnny Beecher ended up suffering an upper-body injury, leaving the game, and would not return.
UPDATE: Johnny Beecher (upper-body) will not return to tonight's game.
With this, the Bruins are now down two forwards and have recalled a forward. Along with that, the Bruins have also placed a forward on injury reserve.
Bruins place forward on IR, make a roster transaction
Leading up to their game against the Maple Leafs tonight, the Boston Bruins placed Elias Lindholm on injury reserve.
This move allowed them to open space on the roster, and the Bruins ended up recalling Alex Steeves ahead of their game.
Alex Steeves is indeed the call-up. Elias Lindholm moves to IR.
There was some speculation that Steeves was going to be recalled after he was missing from the Providence Bruins lineup last night.
