Boston Bruins former first-round pick has officially left the organization, and has signed a new contract overseas with the HC Vitkovice in Czechia.
The 2015 draft was a complete bust for Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney, who had three terrible picks in a row with the 13th, 14th, and 15th overall picks.
Out of all three picks, the only player that was not a bust was Jake DeBrusk, the other two have not lived up to their potential they had at one point.
The Bruins ended up drafting Jakub Zboril 13th overall, which was followed by Jake DeBrusk and then Zach Senyshyn.
Bruins left Jake DeBrusk for free
Both Jakub Zboril and Zach Senyshyn never ended up being able to certify themselves on a roster in the NHL.
During his time in the NHL,
Zboril has spent most of his time playing in the AHL with the Providence Bruins.
He ended up appearing in just 76 NHL games with the Boston Bruins over four seasons.
The following season, Columbus ended up letting him walk, and he ended up signing a PTO with the New Jersey Devils that never worked out.
Zboril then signed a deal overseas, and he has signed another one-year deal in Czechia.
The 2015 draft could have shaped the Boston Bruins to be a power house if Don Sweeney did not whiff on two out of the three picks.
