Joe Sacco Speaks On The Trade
Trading players is always tough, not just for the player, but for their teammates and coaching staff who are always with them.
For Frederic this was different. Trent Frederic has spent his entire 7-year NHL career with the Boston Bruins organization since being
drafted by them in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Being traded for the first time by a team he's played with his entire career is not going to be easy for him, but at the end of the day this is a business.
All of the Bruins players had an emotional reaction to the Frederic trade, and now Joe Sacco has spoken out on it as well.
Joe Sacco met with the media today to talk about last night's loss when the Frederic trade was brought up, and Sacco stated that he enjoyed all the time he spent with Freddy, and that he was a great kid, and wished him nothing but the best with the Oilers.
Coach Sacco on the trade of Trent Frederic to the Oilers: "He's a Bruin, was a Bruin for a long time...I really enjoyed my time with Freddy...he's a great young kid, great young man. I wish him the best over in Edmonton."
The Boston Bruins are expected to make several more trades before the NHL trade deadline comes to an end on Friday.
