Boston Bruins Insider Believes Brad Marchand's Injury Isn't As Bad As It Looks
During the Bruins-Penguins game last night, a troubling scene surfaced as Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand laid motionless on the ice after an unfortunate hit from Penguins defenseman P.O. Joesph.
Marchand then headed right down the Bruins tunnel into the locker room, and he clearly looked to be in a lot of pain. It looked like Marchand was holding his next area when going down the tunnel.
UPDATE: Brad Marchand (upper-body) is unlikely to return to today's game.
Marchand did not end up returning to the game, and many believed that the injury could be bad, but a Bruins insider thinks otherwise.
Insider Believes Brad Marchand's Injury Isn't As Bad
Bruins insider Mark Allred stated last night that he doesn't believe that Brad Marchand's injury is as bad as some may think due to the Bruins stating he was "unlikely" to return.
Instead, he believes that the team made the decision to hold him out for the remainder of the game due to precautionary reasons.
With last nights notification from the #NHLBruins about Brad Marchand «unlikely» to return to yesterday's game on the road in Pittsburgh, I get the feeling this injury to the veteran forward wasn't that bad & him being held back from returning to action was simply precautionary.
