Boston Bruins Joe Sacco Revealed Two Key Boston Bruins Players Will Not Play Today
Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco issued a major statement regarding two big named Boston Bruins players ahead of their game today.
Once again the Boston Bruins are going to be missing two key players today when they host the New York Rangers at TD Garden this afternoon.
Yesterday, Boston Bruins interim head coach Joe Sacco revealed that both Mark Kastelic, and defenseman Hampus Lindholm will not be in the Bruins lineup.
«He won't be available for the game tomorrow,» Sacco told reporters of Kastelic after Bruins practice at TD Garden, per team-provided video. «But again, on the ice, practicing with usthat's a good sign.»
Mark Kastelic has missed the Bruins last five games after suffering an upper-body injury against the San Jose Sharks on January 20th, and admitted he has entered concussion protocol for the second time this month.
«It's hard to say,» Kastelic said when asked if he came back too soon from his last concussion, per team-provided video. «It's a weird injury. You never know if you are overthinking things if you feel good, maybe you're not as good as truly you're trying to tell yourself you feel. But, all that matters is I feel 100% now, which feels great.»
The gritty forward acquired from the Ottawa Senators in the off-season has four goals, 9 assists for 13 points along with 86 penalty minutes, and 175 hits in just 45 games this season.
Lindholm on the other hand has not played a game for the Boston Bruins since suffering a lower-body injury in November, and had a scheduled day off of his rehabilitation on Friday according to Sacco.
Sacco didn't speak on whether or not Lindholm would return before the Four Nations tournament or not.
«We're just making sure that when he's ready to go, that he's going,» Sacco said. «We're still kinda going on a day-to-day basis.»
The 31-year-old defenseman has three goals, and four assists in 17 games this season for the Boston Bruins before taking a shot off the knee and fracturing his knee on November 12th.
