Buffalo Sabres Send The Boston Bruins A Clear Message As Trade Talks For Star Forward Heat Up

Ever since the end of the season, there has been rumours around the league that Peterka is not happy with the organization, and that he may request a trade which has led him to being linked to the Boston Bruins.

Not only has Peterka surfaced as a trade candidate in the off-season, but it seems like the team is kicking the tires on multiple players including star defenseman Bowen Byram.

The Boston Bruins are looking for secondary scoring, and someone like Peterka would be the perfect player, but would cost them a big price tag.

Ever since entering the league in 2022, Peterka's numbers have been increasing. His first year he finished with 32 points in 77 games, then put up 50 points in a full 82 game season, and last year he finished the year with 68 points in 77 games again.

After a disappointing 2024-25 season, there is some big changes coming to the Boston Bruins organization, and adding someone like Peterka would be game changing, but it doesn't seem likely to happen.

To acquire Peterka, the Boston Bruins would have to pay a hefty price tag, and probably do not have what it would take to get a deal done.

Furthermore, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman recently revealed that it does not seem like the Sabres are interested in trading Peterka.
