Latest statement by Boston Bruins' Casey Mittelstadt reveals his opinion regarding who should be the organization's next captain, and it's surprising.
The Boston Bruins have still yet to name a new captain following the depature of their former longtime veteran and captain,
Brad Marchand.
In March, during the NHL trade deadline, the Boston Bruins evidently underwent a fire sale.
During this fire sale, the Bruins shocked the hockey world by confirming the organization had traded their fan-favourited captain,
Brad Marchand, to the Florida Panthers.
Despite the heartbreaking truth of this talent no longer being in Boston, Bruins fans were anticipating a new player to wear the «C» label.
Yet several months have passed, and although captain rumours have continued to circle within Boston, there has been no sight of a new leader in this Original Six franchise.
Now, a new development has just surfaced the media, revealing Casey Mittelstadt's opinion on who should be the face of the team next.
Casey Mittelstadt hints at who should be the next captain in Boston
Mittelstadt on the push back the Bruins had today when trailing Tampa Bay:
"I think it starts with our leaders. You see Pasta playing goalie and taking runs at guys. I think it makes it easier for the rest of us. And obviously Chucky is a warrior out there."
Mittelstadt expresses how Pastrnak is evidently a leader and how beneficial that is for the Boston Bruins organization.
