Charlie Coyle is expected to step up and possibly the first line center after the retirements of former Captain Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci.
Well, after tonight, he might be able to take on that role.
The New York Rangers were taking the puck back to their own end for a reset, when all of a sudden, the camera cuts to Charlie Coyle and Jimmy Vesey going at it. Coyle got the best of Vesey in the little scuffle. Even though it gave the Rangers a four minute power play, it was still awesome to watch him take Vesey down.
However, even before the fight, Coyle made his presence known on the power play. A nice backhand pass by David Pasternak found Coyle sitting right in the slot for a tap-in.
