This entire year has been filled with ups and downs for the Boston Bruins, so much so that upper management revealed that they may be sellers at the NHL trade deadline this year for the first time in awhile.
While today during a press conference, Don Sweeney revealed which direction the team is going to take at the deadline.
Other players have been linked to trade rumours as well, and now we finally know the direction the Bruins are going to take.
Don Sweeney Reveals Which Direction The Bruins Will Go At The Deadline
He stated that the Bruins are going to take a more cautious approach this year, and that they aren't going to be overly aggressive.
Don Sweeney said repeatedly that the Bruins will be taking a more «cautious» approach this trade deadline. Said he doesn't expect to be «overly aggressive.»
Basically stated that the Bruins are going to be sellers at the deadline without saying they are going to be sellers, and multiple Bruins insiders felt the same way about his comments.
Felt like the closest thing you'll get to Don Sweeney throwing the towel in on a season. Wouldn't commit to any specific term, but sounds like it's unlikely that they're moving any future capital for 'now' players.
This is going to be different for a lot of Boston Bruins fans, who have watched their team compete and contend for awhile now, but now is the time to start this re-tool.
