Recent intel from the Boston Bruins' general manager, Don Sweeney, has unveiled the organization's direction for the 2025 NHL Draft, and it's shocking.

Due to the fact the Boston Bruins hold a top-10 pick for this year's NHL Draft, they have an immense amount of opportunity to explore their options with their selection.
This Original Six franchise can choose upon sticking with their No. 7 draft pick selection, trade the pick away for a current NHL player, or they could choose to move up or down in the draft board.
And GM Don Sweeney doesn't seem to be shutting the door on any ideas, as he unveiled some new insight regarding his intentions:
«It would require a lot for us to move off of seven,» Sweeney told NESN's Sophia Jurksztowicz on Wednesday, June, 25. «There's some opportunities to move back that we would considerWe've obviously had discussions with some teams that are trying to be aggressive to move up, and we look at it as if we can get a similar player in how far back that is, plus another player, we have to be considering these things.»

With a No. 7 pick, the Boston Bruins have an exceptional chance at drafting top talent, and the organization has reportedly been linked to Boston College forward, James Hagens, amongst other forwards who are also at the top of the draft board.
Sweeney so revealed that wherever the Bruins decide to draft, they will continue to be patient with the young player and intend to not rush his development.
«I think we have to have an eye towards the best player who, when, if he gets to the National Hockey League, you don't want the if,» Sweeney said. «That's the case when you're picking in the top part of the draft. You have to realize you have to take a player that you forecast to having an impact, to have an ability to impact the NHL lineup. That doesn't mean year one, sometimes it's not even year two.»
Although the Bruins plans are uncertain, Boston's fan-base can extremely an eventful NHL Draft this Friday.
