Now that the Boston Bruins' underwhelming season has come to end, it is now time for the organization to prioritize their re-build and decide what moves to make this offseason, and there is one significant move on the rise as per NHL insider, Elliotte Friedman.

One significant move has been looming around the Boston Bruins' net-minder, Jeremy Swayman, as the 26-year old remains without a contract, and new insight has been revealed, regarding what Bruins fans should expect from Boston this summer.
Earlier this week, the Bruins CEO, Charlie Jacobs, announced update on Swayman talks:
«I try not to comment on player personnel contract negotiations. We are still negotiating with Sway. I hope that he's ready to play come training camp. We have some things to work out. I'm sure we'll get there.» Stated Charlie Jacobs.

Now, a well-known NHL insider, Elliotte Friedman, has given another update regarding Jeremy Swayman, and it is not looking too promising for Boston.
Elliotte Friedman on a recent episode of 32 Thoughts: The Podcast:
"The last I heard, they weren't close. I think this has been a bit of a challenging negotiation, but they've still got time, and we'll see how this sorts out."

This is less than ideal for the Boston Bruins, and a bit concerning to hear the organization as well as Swayman are no where near close to closing a deal.
Despite the uncertainty, Friedman noted that the organization, luckily, has a decent amount of time left before this becomes alarming, as the Bruins only begin training camp on Sept. 18, 2025, and their season opener starts on Oct. 8, against the Florida Panthers.
However, this scenario is sounding familiar.

Will Jeremy Swayman leave the Boston Bruins organization like Brad Marchand?

After news broke out following the Boston Bruins traded their former veteran, Brad Marchand, during the NHL Trade Deadline, it was revealed that the same scenario had erupted.
Brad Marchand and the Boston Bruins could not agree on their negotiations, leaving the 16-year veteran to depart his organization.
Do you think the same thing will happen with Jeremy Swayman?
Only time will tell.
