Elliotte Friedman Just Confirmed The Fate Of Two Bruins Players After Sweeney Made Them Available For Free
After Don Sweeney placed two players on the waiver wire yesterday, making them available for free to all 31 other teams, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman confirmed their fate with the organization.
With the Boston Bruins being one of the worst teams in the NHL since the trade deadline, Don Sweeney decided to make some changes on Sunday.
Brown, and
Lettieri both got recalled by the Boston Bruins following the NHL trade deadline, and at first the Bruins looked good beating both the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Florida Panthers.
Since then the Bruins have not won a game and have lost 8 straight. Not only have they lost 8 straight, but they have lost some games to some really bad teams, and got embarrassed including a 6-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks, and a 3-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks.
Offense has been a problem for the Bruins, and Sweeney is making some changes to his bottom six by taking Brown, and Lettieri off the roster.
Elliotte Friedman Reveals Their Fate
Since it's past the 2 p.m. ET deadline for waivers, Elliotte Friedman revealed that everyone from yesterday that was placed on waivers has cleared.
Meaning they will likely report back to the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League.
