Elliotte Friedman, one of the most trusted NHL insiders revealed on Hockey Night in Canada that the Vancouver Canucks are definitely looking at the trade market for both Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller.
Friedman confirmed that the hockey community should be prepared for all outcomes, including both of them being traded, just one of them being traded, or no moves being made at all.
And with that Elliotte Friedman revealed what the Vancouver Canucks will be looking for in return for either JT Miller or Elias Pettersson, and it's not surprising at all.
Friedman revealed that if the Canucks do trade either Pettersson or Miller that they will be looking for a center in return.
From Friedman himself:
This is the only thing that makes sense as if the Canucks are going to lose either Miller or Pettersson it would leave a pretty big gap down the middle and they would need to find a replacement ASAP.
With this being said, the Boston Bruins would have to give up someone like Elias Lindholm plus other things, or they could end up trading someone like Matt Poitras along with some other things.
If the Bruins could pull off a trade with the Canucks and get either Miller or Pettersson, this one move alone could make them elite contenders this year entering the playoffs.
