New details were recently revealed, and the Boston Bruins nearly completed a blockbuster trade with the Calgary Flames at the NHL draft.

During the NHL Draft there were a lot of rumors involving the Boston Bruins and New York Islanders.
The New York Islanders were interested in acquiring the Boston Bruins 7th overall pick, especially after James Hagens fell down to 7.
Instead, the Bruins kept their pick and ended up drafting James Hagens 7th overall, who is expected to be a game changer for the Bruins in the future.
Now, some new details have revealed that the Boston Bruins nearly made another trade at the draft.

Bruins nearly acquired Rasmus Andersson at the draft

According to Boston Bruins insider Jimmy Murphy, the Boston Bruins were in talks with the Calgary Flames to acquire defenseman Rasmus Andersson.
