After getting into an altercation with Colorado Avalanche's captain during the playoffs this year, former Boston Bruins forward Charlie Coyle may be getting shopped once again.
Before the trade, Charlie Coyle spent a long seven-years with the Boston Bruins organization.
Coyle played pretty good for the Avalanche, scoring two goals and 13 points in 19 regular-season games, but struggled during the playoffs. He would only pick up one assist and was a minus-4 rating in seven games.
After being eliminated, it seems like the Avalanche may be looking to trade Charlie Coyle during the off-season.
Coyle On The Trading Block Again
Nick Kypreos of the Toronto Sun recently reported that the Avalanche may make Coyle available for trade this off-season, especially after re-signing Brock Nelson to a three-year $22.5 million contract extension.
"Not too many were surprised to see Brock Nelson re-up in Colorado after the hefty price they paid to acquire him at the deadline. That signing should put Avalanche centre Charlie Coyle, who's owed $5.25 million for one more season, back on the trade market," Kypreos said.
Due to his versatillity, the Avalanche may be able to get a nice return for Coyle. He can play on the power play, and penalty kill, and will also come with a lot of playoff experience.
Coyle appeared in 83 games split between Boston and Colorado where he scored 17 goals, and 35 points.
