Former Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery is facing some backlash from St. Louis Blues fans after being eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs in game seven.

The Boston Bruins ended up firing Jim Montgomery early on into November and fans weren't sure how to feel about it.
After being eliminated in the first-round again, this time to the Winnipeg Jets, Blues fans are not happy with how Montgomery did coaching wise.

Montgomery facing backlash

Montgomery faced a lot of criticism during his time in Boston for his team not shooting the puck a lot, and yesterday a Blues fan that barley watches hockey anymore realized just how bad it is.
Haven't watched a hockey game since the Blues won Game 7 in the 2019 Stanley Cup, but turned on overtime & haven't stopped yelling at my TV 😂 You'd think I was the biggest Blues fan by how locked in I am right now. We need to quit dumping the puck & get more shots on goal!
Jason Cooke, a writer for a Bruins page stated that even non-hockey fans realize how bad Montgomery is with having his team barley shoot the puck.
The Jim Montgomery experience is having a non-hockey fan realize their team needs to shoot more
To cap everything off, the Blues allowed a goal with just over 1 second remaining in regulation after having a 3-1 lead late into the third period, and went on to lose the game in double overtime ultimately being eliminated from the playoffs.
