Joe Sacco fired? Boston Bruins Cam Neely just confirmed it in a recent announcement

With limited reach in the Boston Bruins' postseason contention this year, the team will need to address multiple areas in the upcoming off season, including their head couch, and it was just revealed in a recent announcement that Joe Sacco may be leaving Boston sooner than expected.
Joe Sacco is still wearing the interim head coach label for the Bruins organization after 53 games with the team, amassing a 22-25-6 record within this time.
However, there has been speculation that this interim head coach will not make it past the NHL 2025/26 season, and we have some insight.
Sacco was a longtime assistant with Boston prior to his promotion and he is expected to be back next season with the Bruins.
Despite this head coach's estimated time within the organization, The Boston Globe's Jim McBride, released an exclusive interview with the Bruins' president, Cam Neely, who revealed Sacco will be in consideration for the head coaching label.
«Neely said Sacco 'will be in the mix' when he and Sweeney have offseason discussions about what direction they will go in a coaching search,» McBride wrote.
McBride continued:
«I mentioned to the whole coaching staff recently that Don (Sweeney) and I certainly appreciate the job that they're doing. It hasn't been easy for them,» Neely said, per McBride. «Again, it's something we're not really accustomed to here.
We're usually playing games, meaningful games, at this time of the year and getting ready for playoffs, and I think Joe stepped in and early on we were playing very well.
We had a pretty good record and then we just stopped playing the way we should play for a stretch there and it really hurt us, but not the easiest situation for Joe to come in. But he's handled it very well.»

Although it may sound Neely is excusing the state of the Boston Bruins' standings at the moment, the way he is presenting Sacco can only mean he is keeping the door open for a better opportunity for the franchise.
