After not knowing if he would end up earning a contract this year, Matt Grzelcyk's return to the Boston Bruins was just made official.
During his time with the Boston Bruins, Grzelcyk dealt with a bunch of injury problems, which was a big reason the Bruins ended up letting him walk.
Of course, after signing with the Penguins,
Grzelcyk ended up appearing in all 82 games, and had a career year, scoring just one goal, but putting up career numbers in assists with 39 and points with 40.
When free agency hit, many believed that Grzelcyk was going to come off the board quick, after having a career year, but that wasn't the case.
He was one of the last free agents signed to a deal, and ended up signing a PTO with the Chicago Blackhawks.
Chicago will be signing D Matt Grzelcyk, who was in camp on a PTO
Now, Grzelcyk's return to TD Garden was just confirmed.
Grzelcyk returns to TD Garden on Thursday
According to Bruins reporter Steve Conroy, Grzelcyk and the Chicago Blackhawks will be in TD Garden on Thursday to faceoff against the Boston Bruins.
Good for Matt. He'll be back at the Garden on Thursday
