NHL insider just revealed what it will cost Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney to acquire Minnesota wilds top RFA

The Boston Bruins' GM Don Sweeney and the team's front office will undoubtedly undergo a busy offseason this summer, as they strive to re-tool their organization for the upcoming 2025/26 NHL season.

This being said, the organization will need to be extremely precise with their decision making in order to excel the way they are hoping for, and with new insight unfolding, some player's that Boston is currently interested in may come at a higher price than anticipated.

And a new announcement has revealed just that with one of the Boston Bruins top interests, Marco Rossi.

Marco Rossi is undoubtedly Minnesota Wild's top RFA, Restricted Free Agent, this offseason who is expected to go for an extreme price.

Sources have speculated that Rossi will want a huge increase on his next deal.

Puck Empire, a reliable news source, revealed that this 23-year old is expected to want more than $7M AAV (Average Annual Salary) on his next deal, and that the Minnesota Wild have already offered this forward $5M AAV.

From 2020-2024, Marco Rossi signed a three-year, $5.325M contract with the Minnesota Wild, where he received a $1.775M AAV, however, now that he is NHL experienced, it seems as though this forward is seeking much more for his next deal.

This comes as concerning for the Boston Bruins organization as they are in dire need of a centre in Rossi's calibre, yet, his asking price may not seem too realistic for the team.
