NHL Insider Reveals Boston Bruins New Top Candidate For Heading Coaching Position

A recent report from RG.org's James Murphy, the Boston Bruins are really eyeing down Rick Tocchet for their vacant head coaching position, and want him to be the next head coach of the organization.
«If they can secure an interview with him, and yeah, they're trying,» an NHL source told RG. «He becomes their top target.»
Tocchet has been a name that has been linked to multiple NHL teams since the Canucks announced that he was not going to be returning behind the bench next seaason.
The Canucks president of hockey operations, Jim Rutherford told the media that Tocchet was looking to coach on the East coast. Rick Dhaliwal ended up stating on Wednesday that he is open to hearing offers from any team, including the Kraken a team that has been linked to him.
While Joe Sacco ended up serving as interim head coach after the
Boston Bruins fired Jim Montgomery, the head coaching position is available. They looked better at first under Joe Sacco, but not long after came back down to earth and finished last in the Atlantic Division.
They finished last, and were tied for the worst record int he East with the Philadelphia Flyers. This was the first time the Boston Bruins ended up having a below .500 record in a season since the 2006-07 season.
Tocchet does have some ties to the Bruins organizaiton, he played for the Original Six team during the 1995-96, and the 1996-97 season.
It will be interesting to see if the Bruins can land him, and if not, it will be interesting to see who they do end up hiring.
