The hockey community is mourning another tragic death of an NHL Alumni goaltender Frank Caprice who tragically passed away at the age of 63-years-old.

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Canucks goaltender Frank Caprice.

Frank proudly wore the Canucks jersey for six seasons, appearing in 102 career NHL games all with Vancouver. He was a beloved teammate, a valued member of our organization and he will be greatly missed.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Frank's friends and family.

Forever a Canuck.
After learning about the passing, the NHL Alumni Association has issued a statement:
The NHL Alumni Association is heartbroken to learn Frank Caprice has passed away at the age of 63.

A ninth-round selection of the Vancouver Canucks in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft, Frank made his NHL debut for Vancouver on February 24th, 1983, while spending the majority of the 1982-83 season with AHL Fredriction.

Frank earned his first NHL win on December 10, 1983, stopping 26 of 28 Edmonton Oiler shots en route to the 3-2 victory. With an even split between Vancouver and Fredriction that season, he would appear in a career-high 28 games the next season in 1984-85.

At the conclusion of the 1989-90 NHL season, with 102 games under his belt, the Hamilton, Ontario native joined Gherdëina in the Italy-A league, where he would play for three seasons before moving to the Cardiff Devils of the BISL (now the EIHL). Frank's professional hockey career concluded in Scotland with the Ayr Scottish Eagles in 1998-99.

Frank proudly wore the Maple Leaf representing Team Canada at the 1982 World Junior Hockey Championships en route to winning the gold medal.

Those who were fortunate to know Frank will tell you how kindhearted and thoughtful he was. We send our deepest condolences to Frank's family, friends, and former teammates during this incredibly difficult time.
Rest in Peace Frank.
