The Boston Bruins' top RFA, Mason Lohrei, has been involved in new rumours regarding his projected contract, and it's shocking.
The Boston Bruins' second round (58th overall) in 2020 NHL Draft, Mason Lohrei, signed a 2-year $925K AAV contract, which will be expiring this offseason.
This will conclude in the defenseman becoming a pending RFA, also known as Restricted Free Agent this year, and new speculations have hit the rumour mill regarding Lohrei's projected contract.
A reporter, Brian DeFelice, reposted a post on social media via 'X' revealing the Boston Bruins' RFA projected contracts, including Mason Lohrei for the 2025/26 NHL season.

This leaves two separate options for the Mason Lohrei, a short term and long term contract:
Short term projection: 2 year, $3 million AAV contract.
Long term projection: 6 year, $5.4 million AAV contract.
We could see a potential breakup between Lohrei and the Boston Bruins due to general manager Don Sweeney being known for his cheap antics, which we all witnessed in the Brad Marchand negotiations.
